Wärtsilä key to Vitol efficiency gains

Wärtsilä energy saving systems installed on board two MR tankers have been shown to improve efficiency by around 6%

Wärtsilä is delivering significant savings to the shipping industry according to new data obtained from two medium range product tankers.

The vessels, Elandra Sea and Elandra Star, owned by global energy company Vitol, and managed by Latvian operator LSC Group, had tailored Wärtsilä EnergoFlow and EnergoProFin systems installed during summer 2022.
