Surging orders for WinGD’s biggest engines amid boxship spree

Winterthur-based engine developer WinGD has received more than 80 orders for its largest engines in 2021, reflecting the spate of orders for large containerships. WinGD''s orderbook for 920mm bore X92-B engines has grown six times compared to the number of engines ordered at the same time last year.
