Kongsberg Maritime conducts autonomous coastal cargo voyage

A cargo vessel has completed a demonstration on the northwest coast of Norway operating on a mix of remote and autonomous operations. 

The coastal cargo ship Eidsvaag Pioner has completed a 160 nautical sea mile round trip between the port of Averøy near Kristiansund and the world’s first ocean fish farm as the first of two remote-operated and autonomous transport demonstrations for the AUTOSHIP project.
