LR outlines EU ETS implementation steps

Lloyd’s Register has provided further guidance on the key steps that ship owners/ship managers/charterers are recommended to follow ahead of the entry into effect of the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) Directive on 1 January 2024.

The guidance outlines the the key steps to ensure the timely submission of the assessed Monitoring Plan (MP) and Emission Report (ER) to the Administering Authorities (AA), as well as surrendering of ETS allowances.
