Ulstein Verft is to build two new hybrid construction service operation vessels for the offshore wind industry

The ULSTEIN XS222 vessels will have a hybrid battery propulsion system and will be equipped for green methanol fuel.

The 89.6m vessels come equipped with a walk-to-work motion-compensated gangway and elevator tower for transfer of crew and cargo. On deck is a 3D motion-compensated crane capable of 5 tonne cargo lifts.
