    Brunvoll has announced that the first Brunvoll BruCon DP2 dynamic positioning system has passed third party verification onboard the offshore vessel Stril Mar. Following the successful installation and testing of the BruCon DP2 system, Brunvoll plans to offer the BruCon DP2 system as a solution for both newbuilds and as a retrofit solution.

The aim of this competition is to fund real world demonstrations, trials and feasibility studies into clean maritime technologies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

    Japanese Consortium Targets 2026 For First NH3-Fuelled Gas Carrier

    Japan Engine Corporation (J-ENG) has announced that it will provide a low-speed two-stroke dual-fuel engine capable of operating on ammonia for an ammonia-fuelled medium-sized gas carrier, which will be constructed at Nihon Shipyard. A series of contracts relating to the construction of the 40,000 cbm ammonia carrier were signed in December 2023 by J-ENG, Nihon Shipyard Co., Ltd. and ship owner Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK).
